What will you do
Youll design and develop systems and applications used by Amazon worldwide and regularly interact with engineering and business leadership. You will participate in the planning and of technology projects and operational excellence initiatives. Youll also mentor junior engineers in employing strong design and implementation practices.
To accomplish this you will be expected to have an established background in building highly scalable systems and applications excellent communication skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fastpaced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software is customercentric and feels strongly about building good software and making that software achieve its operational goals. Experience building and operating mobile and web servicesbased applications especially at a massive scale will be very applicable and helpful.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
