Job Description

As a Global Account Manager for Life Sciences (LS) you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include identifying great ways to improve outcomes for customers driving revenue & adoption and helping refine the AWS strategy within the LS vertical market segment and building momentum with our largest LS accounts. The ideal candidate will be a selfstarter who is prepared to own define develop and execute a business plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets while thinking strategically about long term customer outcomes.

The AWS Industries team is committed to helping industry customers enable their digital transformation journeys. Our primary goal is to meet customers in their cloud journeys and work backwards from their industryspecific needs to transform their businesses and industries. Our team focuses on business outcomes and industry use cases on behalf of our customers whether that is how we build products and solutions how we sell how we deliver or how we partner.

Key job responsibilities

Help identify key opportunities within global Life Science customers that allow them to get more value AWS cloud solutions.
Drive revenue and market share in assigned accounts.
Meet or exceed revenue targets.
Develop and execute a comprehensive regional plan.
Accelerate customer adoption.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
Manage contract negotiations.
Develop longterm strategic relationships with key accounts.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Expect 30 travel

Extensive Life Science technology related sales or business development experience
Proven sales management experience working for a technology vendor selling Enterprise solutions
Experience leading a team of sellers focused on large complex global accounts
Experience managing sales organizations with revenues of at least $100M



Experience as the primary account manager or team leader for a global federated enterprise working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus.
Sales management experience in Life Science business solutions sales
Extensive experience working with a Global Life Science Technology as a Global Account and Relationship Manager.
BA or BS degree in computer science engineering business marketing or related field (MBA preferred)
Extensive enterprise selling experience in large global accounts.
Other experiences to include: experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; ability to navigate across AWS and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach; and establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas SaaS PaaS) would be preferred but not required.
