The Department of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a fulltime tenuretrack faculty position #110250 at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1 2025.
The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching innovation including teaching in online formats and incorporating data analytics. In addition the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain an active highquality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching in accordance with MTSUs mission as an R2 university and the Department of Accountings status as an AACSBaccredited accounting program. The Department of Accounting has been AACSB accredited since 2004 and comprises faculty committed to excellence in teaching and recognized leaders in their respective disciplines. They also have an impressive collective footprint in academic research practitioner research and service to the academy the university and the community. A terminal degree in accounting is required by the appointment date.
Applicants with expertise in accounting information systems analytics or forensic accounting and those who have earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or other accountingrelated professional certification will receive special consideration.
