Senior PMT - External Services Amazon Cognito

Security is an important consideration for customers moving to the cloud and all applications need identity solution for end users. Amazon Cognito helps customers secure the most critical user data including credentials of the users of their applications. We provide easy to use authentication authorization and user management for web and mobile apps either directly with a user name and password or through a third party identity provider such as Facebook Amazon or Google.

Increasingly more applications are going digital and the demand for a secure digital identity for the consumers of these applications is growing. Existing digital applications are looking to improve their consumers identity by moving to a cloud based solution which is more secure scalable standards compliant and removes the need for them to hire identity experts. Amazon Cognito is on a mission to reinvent how users authenticate by reducing the user friction and at the same time increasing the security of the process. This will involve reimagining how authentication should work and how it can get smarter in determining the security posture of each request an end user makes.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative technical Senior Product Manager to conceptualize drive and deliver the strategy and product roadmap for Amazon Cognito. In this role you will be responsible for working closely with engineering marketing sales finance and other partner team to define and execute a high impact roadmap of features that simplify how customers use Amazon Cognito. You will work backwards from the customer to understand their challenges and needs and define the experiences that make it easy for customers to enable seamless end user signup and signin experiences providing an alwayson internet scale authentication and authorization for end users. You will also define capabilities that provide a fully featured customer identity experience with strong adaptive protection mechanisms and access to cuttingedge techniques that help prevent detect mitigate and respond to todays evolving threat landscape. You will be responsible for product exploration and design and work with a dedicated team of talented engineers to build and launch these products. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative analytical and fastpaced environment and be comfortable interacting with highly technical crossfunctional teams. Ideal candidates dive deep into data have strong writing skills and can confidently lead teams to alignment in ambiguous problem spaces.

As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (IoT) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
Engage with customers to understand their requirements gather feedback and ensure the product meets their needs.
Conceptualize a clear product vision and strategy for Amazon Cognito that aligns with the overall business goals.
Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap prioritizing features based on customer needs customer identity and access management product space trends and business impact.
Work closely with engineering UX marketing and sales teams to deliver highquality features on time.
Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats and adjust the product strategy accordingly.
Define and track key metrics to measure the success of the product and inform future decisions.

About the team



3 years of technical product management with internet business experience
Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
Experience working with customers technical teams and management to collect requirements describe software product features and technical designs
Experience with modern software development web development frameworks APIs
Experience delivering largescale SaaS PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle from concept through GTM (go to market)
Experience in defining customer research defining technical solutions that can solve customer challenges atscale product pricing / monetization strategy gotomarket (GTM) strategy.

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
MBA
5 years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
