Job Description
The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate talented and innovative applied scientist with a strong background in deep learning to help build industryleading technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.
Key job responsibilities
As an Applied Scientist with the AGI team you will work with worldclass scientists and engineers to develop novel data modeling and engineering solutions to support the responsible AI initiatives at AGI. Your work will directly impact our customers in the form of products and services that make use of AI technology. You will leverage Amazons heterogeneous data sources and largescale computing resources to accelerate advances in AGI in order to provide the bestpossible experience for our customers.

Our team has a mission to push the envelope of AGI in order to provide the bestpossible experience for our customers.
PhD or Masters degree and 2 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
1 years of building models for business application experience
Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
Experience with deep learning techniques
Experience with LLM model training and finetuning
Experience with popular deep learning modeling tools and workflows such as MxNet TensorFlow R scikitlearn Spark MLLib numpy and scipy.
Experience with deep learning modeling techniques including CNNs RNNs GANs VAEs and Transformers.
Experience with conducting research in a corporate setting
Experience in scientific publications at toptier peerreviewed conferences or journals.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with both nontechnical and technical audiences.
Experience with conducting applied research in a corporate setting.
Experience in building deep learning models for business application.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
