Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Supply Chain Manager to support the World Wide Amazon Logistics Engineering Supply Chain team. This role will lead global supplier development to enable frugal supplier options for the Last Mile automation technologies across EU and NA driving cost savings through vendor selection contract negotiations and supply chain optimization.
Key responsibilities include: Research and expand global sourcing model for automation components/systems securing lowcost and high quality supplier options. Define business requirements and vendor selection criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Partner with procurement to negotiate contracts ensuring key contractual terms including proper IP ownership for the required technologies. Partner with crossfunctional teams to enable shouldcost analysis value engineering and cost optimization. Drive milestone schedules mitigate supply chain constraints and ensure deployment readiness. Align warranty support network and spare stock needs ensuring quality aftersale technical support. Lead supply chain readiness for existing/approved frugal supplier to deliver safety ergonomic and productivity benefits. Manage delivery and address feedback for equipment deployment collaborating with logistics providers and vendors.
Bachelors degree in operations supply chain business engineering finance or related fields. 5 years experience in international strategic sourcing supplier development and supply chain management. 5 years analytical and negotiation skills with a costsavings mindset. Extensive knowledge of supply chain operations logistics and vendor management best practices.
Masters degree or MBA in relevant fields. Specific experience in driving process improvements in procurement cost engineering. Knowledge and experience in warehouse automation engineering and technologies. Foreign language proficiency is a plus. Excellent stakeholder management and crossfunctional collaboration abilities. Proven ability to manage ambiguity.
