Job Description

Your responsibilities

As a Mechatronics Engineer for Silicon QA & Xray Characterization youll be joining the Beams (BE) Department specifically in the Mechatronics Robotics & Operation (MRO) Section of the Control Electronics and Mechatronics Group (BECEM). 

This position is dedicated to further explore and improve the use of bent crystal for beam manipulation. 
While this technique has been extensively studied the manufacturing is challenging. To ensure adequate quality advanced measurement techniques are applied. 

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Formulating specifications for new projects using crystals;
  • Managing and improving the supply processes of the crystal wafers and strips from external and internal suppliers; 
  • Validating the crystals using xray diffractometry and ensuring adherence to project management steps and quality assurance procedures.

Your profile

Skills

  • Experience with high precision mechatronic systems;
  • Ability to use high precision techniques for characterisation e.g. using xray diffractometry;
  • Experience using optical measurement systems;
  • Eye for detail and high level of organisation;
  • Fluent in English the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Contract duration: 24 months with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
