Position Summary
The University of Central Arkansas Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching research and service. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. The position is tenure track and a ninemonth appointment. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry or closelyrelated discipline and a strong commitment to teaching research and service at the undergraduate level. Course responsibilities include organic chemistry for majors organic spectroscopy and chemistry for nonscience majors. The department is active in innovative teaching undergraduate research and professional service to the university and community. Faculty expertise includes all major chemical subdisciplines providing a valuable resource pool for undergraduate instruction and research mentorship. The successful candidate will contribute to a curriculum that encourages students to excel in the classroom and the laboratory with handson training and using stateoftheart instrumentation.
