Job Description

At LinkedIn hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by the business needs of the team. Remote roles are performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval. 

Were looking for a Community Manager to help drive and nurture professional communities on LinkedIn at scale. In this role youll empower members to share their expertise build their professional brand and contribute valuable insights to their industries. Youll play a key role in identifying and onboarding new voices supporting community programs and collaborating with News Editors to amplify highquality content on LinkedIn. This is an 11 month Fixed Term Contract.

You will join a dynamic team building something brand new in business news and views and get a fast education in platforms and entrepreneurial contentcentric communitybuilding. LinkedIns 250 Editors and Community Managers work around the globe: New York San Francisco London Paris Madrid Milan Dubai Munich Berlin So Paulo Bangalore Singapore and Sydney. They previously worked at media companies like Sddeutsche Zeitung the AP CNBC Wired Reuters The Wall Street Journal and more. Our news editors help define the future of how professionals create curate and consume business content. This is a team unlike any other in digital media combining worldclass journalism relationship management community development and technological collaboration.

Youll report into the Editorial DACH management getting to work with a group of journalists and creator management experts who reach the largest group of professionals ever assembled building something brand new in business conversations and getting a fast education in platforms digital media and community building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Growth & Engagement: Build and nurture professional communities on LinkedIn at scale helping members share insights and engage meaningfully.
  • Program Development: Identify vet and onboard members across key industries into LinkedIns evolving community programs balancing a scaled approach with content quality.
  • Community Strategy & Management: Develop execute and continuously refine community management programs to drive engagement and impact.
  • Collaboration with Editorial Teams: Partner closely with News Editors to connect highquality membergenerated content with LinkedIns editorial products.
  • Community Support & Issue Resolution: Manage ongoing community engagement ensuring that member concerns and issues are addressed efficiently.
  • DataDriven Decision Making: Track community success through metrics and analytics refining strategies based on insights

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional experience in community management content creation or a related field

  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with creators

  • Strong communitybuilding skills and affinity for working with experts/content creators in 1:1 or scaled; remote or hybrid settings 

  • Persuasive communicator in multiple forms especially in writing and presenting before groups of all sizes

  • Strong and persuasive writing skills in German or equivalent experience in writing related to journalism social media community editor etc.

  • BS/BA degree OR equivalent experience

  • Ability to think analytically understand metrics and adjust strategy accordingly

  • Passion for executing on strategy and helping iterate to improve it

  • Strong communicator able to talk/share internally and externally about what LinkedIn is building/experiencing

  • Can balance shortterm wins against steady progress on the longterm vision
