The ideal candidate for a Product Marketing Specialist would be able to do the following:
- Assist in the development of the marketing strategy for each product line to drive profitable growth (demand generation funnel acceleration and share gain) from insights and align with product management priorities and roadmap.
- Participate in crossfunctional new product development (NPD) teams.
- Support gotomarket plans from concept through launch and beyond in collaboration in product management NPD and global sales teams.
- Help to capture customer channel competitor and consumer insights (Technomic) and conduct market research to inform product development and marketing strategies. Leverage Sugar CRM and Sugar Market data in decisionmaking. Actively participate in customer visits and Taste of AltoShaam events. Incorporate competitive analysis from engineering teardowns and product management input.
- Support branding unique value proposition product positioning and messaging platform.
- Work with the shared marketing services team on product system and segment campaign development. Define the optimum marketing mix (awareness lead generation nurturing) and activities (digital website SEO PPC email media print tradeshow content marketing etc..
- Empower the sales team and channel with highquality customerfocused tools product communications assets and training materials (presentations sell sheets competitor comparisons videos etc) working closely with the shared marketing services product management culinary global sales and sales enablement teams.
- Own the product information across channels (digital asset management system catalogs websites ecommerce platforms etc.. Work with digital marketing to ensure optimal user experience across digital channels.
- Own quoting platforms product content and updates.
- Partner with global sales and key customers on unit placements and case study opportunities.
- Support product training programs.
Qualifications :
For a candidate to be successful as a Product Marketing Specialist they must have:
- Bachelors degree in marketing business or similar required.
- 13 years of product marketing experience.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding project management and prioritization skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Understanding of market trends and product lifecycles.
- Firm grasp of ways to develop strategic product marketing campaigns.
- Strong storytelling ability to highlight the products value and connect with audience on an emotional level.
- High degree of empathy for others perspectives and circumstances.
- Sharp negotiation tactics.
