Job Description
- Primary responsibilities:
- Provide frontline safety leadership / mentoring / coaching for the Mining Operations and Mining Projects teams.
- Provide crossfunctional mining operations projects and mining engineering support to the Mining Department to enable 2025 budget delivery and achievement of targeted production rampup profile.
- Ensure safe ontime delivery of mining capital projects including the UG recovery project UG dewatering system upgrades paste reticulation network extensions / upgrades and digitilisation project.
- Lead the implementation / embedment of the OGC Project Management Framework in the Mining Projects Team.
- Ensure compliance to OGC project management procurement and contract management standards.
Qualifications :
- Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering
- First Class Mining Manager Certificate (Aus or NZ) desired.
- 6 yrs experience in underground metalliferous mining.
- Experience in coordinating frontend engineering and design (FEED) for underground ventilation paste fill and dewatering projects is desirable.
- Practical experience in the of underground infrastructure projects is essential (dewatering ventilation paste reticulation raiseboring)
- Strong communication skills including verbal communication reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change promote innovation and address challenges with urgency.
- Technical leadership and coaching experience to develop individuals and enhance team capabilities.
- Skilled in identifying and resolving issues implementing preventative controls and mitigating risks.
- Ability to hold oneself and others accountable to deliver highquality results aligned with standards.
- Commitment to integrating leading operational and technical practices into all aspects of work.
- Proven ability to build trust cultivate innovation and align team efforts with organisational goals.
