Manager Data Foundations - Center of Ops Innovation

This role will be based in San Francisco Bay Area Mountain View or New York.  

The Data Foundations Manager will join our newly formed Data team in the Center of Ops Innovation org and lead global data initiatives for the CFO department. This is a unique role within the Strategic Finance function focused on informing more efficient operations and capital investments through powering highimpact datadriven decisionmaking and insights. This Data org combines business acumen with data engineering data strategy & governance and advanced analytics capabilities to provide a datadriven perspective on LinkedIns business performance and enable its efficient scale and operations. In this role you will learn the Finance ecosystem insideout develop roadmaps test & learn and power data that supports hundreds of global stakeholders. Additionally you will cultivate strong relationships and collaborate crossfunctionally with Finance leaders Engineering Data Science and vendors in order to identify opportunities design and deliver results.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire excellence through example coaching developing and inspiring others; foster a positive and valuesdriven team culture 
• Build a scalable solution that synthesizes bookings expenses headcount and product data to provide a foundation for financial analysis and decision making 
• Lead global data foundations and operations initiatives including solution design roadmap development prioritization and successful implementation 
• Create and propose solutions to enable better data integrity decrease overall complexity minimize technical debt simplify processes and improve productivity 
• Act as a key data & analytics partner to Global Finance leaders to understand business challenges and create datacentric solutions to address them 
• Work with data teams across Sales Finance HR DS Eng to influence our broader data strategy source various datasets and ensure alignment 
• Identify incremental opportunities and drive innovations across programs and tools to improve user experience ensure data accuracy increase data reliability and unlock productivity 
• Effectively communicate the status of projects and insights globally 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelors Degree in Business Business Analytics Finance or related field AND minimum 5 years of experience in finance finance accounting management consulting investment banking or related field OR equivalent experience
• 4 years of experience working with data systems or tools in a business setting including data management data science analytics business intelligence operations engineering reporting or consulting
• 2 years of experience using SQL to create manage maintain and manipulate large datasets 

Preferred Qualifications 

• 2 years of experience creating and maintaining businesscritical datasets data infrastructure tools and systems
• 2 years of experience with Python and Data Visualization (Tableau PowerBI)
• Track record of driving measurable business impact through technical expertise and business acumen; analytical structured systematic and creative problem solver
• Proven experience leading data & BI initiatives including data infrastructure endtoend solution design deployment process transformation troubleshooting and datadriven insights 
• Experience in a strategy and finance role demonstrated understanding of FP&A processes or demonstrated genuine interest in learning the space 
• Proven experience managing a large diverse group of stakeholders and driving global projects independently 
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $123000 to $199000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific office location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
