Software Engineering Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Session Replay product one of the core components of our platform and a cornerstone of our mission to unify qualitative and quantitative analytics.
As the manager of this team you will work closely with product and design to develop a deep understanding of customer needs craft a strategic roadmap and play a handson role in turning that vision into reality. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the engineering team in building bestinclass user experiences.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (product managers designers and other stakeholders) to define project scope and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes tools and workflows.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer needs through direct and consistent engagement.
- Invest in engineer development helping team members grow in their careers.
- Contribute to engineeringwide initiatives that improve the broader organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in software development including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g. Java Python JavaScript).
- Prior experience with Session Replay as a tool and its applications.
- Experience with AWS and modern software architectures.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make datadriven decisions.
- Proven ability to work crossfunctionally think rigorously communicate effectively and navigate complex tradeoffs.
- Thrives in an ambiguous highautonomy environment with a high level of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the experience analytics space.
- Familiarity with Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
