Core Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough diagnostics maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
- Conduct comprehensive routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability and document findings and recommended maintenance or repairs.
- Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor providing an estimate of time needed to complete additional repairs.
- Execute work specified on the repair order in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Complete warranty repair work in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mainline automotive technician required.
- Proficient with vehicle inspections diagnostics repairs and maintenance.
- ASE and/or Mazda certified preferred.
- Must have your own tools and tool box.
- Demonstrates thorough workmanship coupled with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication and general computer skills.
- Must work well in a team environment and be able to stand for extended periods.
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record are required.
- Must pass a preemployment drug screen and background check.
Hours and Work Environment:
The Service Department is open 7am 6pm weekdays and 7am 4pm on Saturdays. We are seeking candidates who are available to work Saturdays. You will have Sundays and one week day off. Technicians enjoy a high volume workload in a climatecontrolled shop environment.
