Summary: Maintain the quality of all manufactured products from receiving to final inspection and testing.
Essential Duties Quality Control Technician
1. Analyze specifications/contracts as they pertain to operations steps and product assembly.
2. Maintain necessary documentation related to quality policies procedures and traceability.
3. Work with purchasing department in establishing quality requirements from external suppliers.
4. Responsible for second stage receiving inspection of raw materials.
5. Responsible for all aspects of firstpiece inprocess and finished product inspection.
6. Oversee inspection criteria to ensure only conforming product is shipped.
7. Perform periodic audits of quality system and address nonconformance areas.
8. Ensure that quality problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
9. Investigate quality problems and recommend changes or improvements.
10. Report quality problems to Floor Supervisor Manufacturing Manager and Quality Control Supervisor as needed.
11. Promote an environment of open and honest clear and consistent communication with Quality Control Supervisor Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Coordinator.
12. Maybe required to frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
13. All other duties deemed necessary.
14. Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
Qualifications:
Education and or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in quality inspection preferred.
Physical Demands
The positions requires staff to alternate from a sitting position to a standing position frequently. Repetitive motion required. Lifting bending twisting and turning are required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties.
