TheData Analystwill work to support ourSt. Louis region.
As a Data Analyst you will:
- Extract transform and load (ETL) data from multiple SQL tables into Power BI.
- Design and build interactive dashboards and reports tailored to financial performance metrics and trends.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance in Power BI data models.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency during integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements including but not limited to dynamic KPI dashboards and variance analysis reports.
- Connect Power BI to Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for seamless data extraction and visualization.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure proper data flows between systems and Power BI.
- Troubleshoot and optimize ERP data connections for efficiency and reliability.
- Build robust data models in Power BI to analyze financial datasets including budgeting forecasting pricing and profitability analysis.
- Use advanced DAX formulas and Power Query to derive insights from complex ERP datasets.
- Ensure data integrity by reconciling Power BI outputs with Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 records.
- Partner with finance teams to understand business requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions.
- Work with ERP administrators to enhance the usability and functionality of Epicor and Dynamics 365 data for reporting purposes.
- Automate routine financial reporting by leveraging Power BI and ERP integration capabilities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and reporting cycles.
- Train finance and operational teams on utilizing Power BI dashboards and ERPintegrated reports.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Power BI and ERP reporting capabilities within the organization.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Information Systems Data Analytics or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in financial analysis or business intelligence.
- Strong expertise in Power BI including DAX Power Query SQL skills (query optimization joins stored procedures) and data modeling.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with financial processes including P&L analysis budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
- Knowledge of Python/R for data manipulation (optional but beneficial).
- Experience with Power Query or other ETL tools.
- Familiarity with Azure or cloudbased data services (if applicable).
- Familiarity with Epicor and/or Dynamics 365.
