Job Description
Client
An ICG client is seeking aData Architect.The project stems from the acquisition by a global PE firm of two companies from a third in a well established financial services company. The project is to carve out the two companies leaving three standalone companies.
Role
Specific Skills:
Develop understanding of data needs of two carved out businesses specify data requirements and establish data perimeter
General Background:
- Data Architecture Design:Design and develop the organizations data architecture including data models schemas and structures to support the storage retrieval and analysis of data. Define data standards policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across data assets.
- Data Integration and ETL:Design and implement data integration solutions to facilitate the seamless exchange and transformation of data between different systems applications and databases. Develop ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to populate data warehouses and data lakes with structured and unstructured data.
- Database Management:Evaluate select and implement database technologies and platforms that best meet the organizations needs considering factors such as scalability performance and costeffectiveness. Manage and optimize databases to ensure optimal performance reliability and security.
- Data Governance and Compliance:Establish data governance frameworks and processes to ensure the integrity confidentiality and availability of data assets. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR HIPAA and PCIDSS and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Data Quality and Master Data Management:Define and implement data quality standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy completeness and consistency of data. Develop master data management (MDM) strategies and solutions to manage and govern master data across the organization.
- Data Analytics and Reporting:Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and develop data analytics and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights and support datadriven decisionmaking. Design and optimize data warehouses data marts and BI (Business Intelligence) tools to enable efficient data analysis and visualization.
- Data Migration and Archiving:Plan and oversee data migration projects to transfer data between different systems platforms or storage environments. Develop data archiving strategies to manage the retention and disposal of historical data in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:Document data architecture designs data models and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices. Provide training and guidance to other team members on data architecture principles and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture database design or data management.
- Proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools such as ERwin ER/Studio or PowerDesigner.
- Strong understanding of database technologies and platforms including relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra).
- Experience with data integration tools and technologies such as Informatica Talend or Apache NiFi.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks data quality management and master data management (MDM) principles.
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau Power BI or QlikView.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and business stakeholders.
Logistics
Start date:The project will commence at 6 months duration and pending satisfactory performance continue for at least 13 years
There are three / four roles that are required in the short term the fourth may be required later.
Location:Sydney (Remote possible for the right candidate)
Rate:The daily rate to the consultant will be$1200per day paid plus gst to the right professional.

APTs must be lodged within 48 hours.We will review all APTs and select the best 3 for the client. The client will then conduct interviews.
