Job Description
About the Position
We are currently placing a Structural Engineering Intern/CoOp to join our Professional Design Team. We have a number of exciting projects in house serving clients in the industrial department of defense and commercial industries. Our Intern/CoOps work directly with structural engineers on project teams to support our projects. This role will primarily consist of drafting structural building systems in the BIM software Revit and AutoCAD. Revit and AutoCAD allow our interns/CoOps to see a building designed in a threedimensional space and allows them to see how each component of a building affects another. This role will also consist of assisting structural engineers in other project oriented tasks.
Qualifications
- Engineering student in an ABET accredited university on track for a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering .
- Completed 2 years of course work.
- Creative Adaptive and Flexible.
- Interested in Structural Building Systems.
- Understand the basics of Structural Engineering.
- Ability to conduct written and verbal communications in English.
- Familiarity with designing and drafting in AutoCAD and Revit is highly considered.
- Prior Internship with related experience is highly considered.
