Job Description
Do you have a passion for heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and a desire to share your expertise Join our team of dedicated professionals and help shape the next generation of skilled HVAC technicians.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking knowledgeable and experienced HVAC Instructors to join our faculty. In this role you will provide highquality instruction develop engaging lesson plans and guide students as they build the technical and professional skills needed for a successful HVAC/R career.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive handson lesson plans aligned with the HVAC curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach theory and practical skills in areas including electrical systems refrigeration air conditioning heating systems diagnostics and safety procedures.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Demonstrate industrystandard techniques and ensure proper safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Provide handson supervision and mentorship during lab and shop activities.
- Evaluate student performance through tests projects and practical assessments providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Stay current with industry standards technological advancements and certification requirements in the HVAC field.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe instructional environment.
- Mentor students and model professional behavior ethics and work habits.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff on curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC certification or licensure (EPA 608 NATE or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 3 years of handson professional HVAC/R experience.
- Prior teaching or training experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems tools and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring students and helping them reach their goals.
- Proficient in using instructional technology and multimedia teaching tools.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a classroom/lab setting.
- Dedication to fostering a diverse inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Hours and Availability: Day and Evening Positions including a partial workfromhome/remote schedule.
