Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least 18credits of graduate level Mathematics courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Understanding of teaching as both an art and a science. An education degree certificate of education or significant professional development in teaching strategies and high impact practices. To know what it means to be an active learning classroom and have the ability to implement an active learning classroom effectively. Willingness to cultivate an interdisciplinary perspective with regard to the teaching of mathematics. Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps. Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that addresses the needs of students from various backgrounds. Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college. Bilingual or other language proficiency.
