Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our clients team at their Distribution Center in Cape Town conveniently located near the airport. This is a permanent role ideal for a skilled professional who is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of a leading companys supply chain. If you have a solid background in electronics PLC systems and automation we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic systems within the distribution center
- Repair and replace faulty electronic components and systems to ensure minimal downtime
- Collaborate with the team to implement automation processes and preventative maintenance strategies
- Ensure all work is documented including maintenance schedules and repairs made
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean efficient work environment
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems
- Support with PLC programming and diagnostics as required
Requirements:
- Minimum NQF Level 3 qualification (essential)
- Red Seal Trade Certificate (essential)
- Proven experience working with PLC systems and automation processes
- Indepth knowledge of conveyor belt systems and preventative maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting skills and problemsolving abilities
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
