Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance diagnostics and repairs
on PD10 pile drivers and other construction equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify and diagnose mechanical issues in the field
and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute a schedule for preventative maintenance
tasks to prolong the life and efficiency of all equipment.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing
maintenance tasks. Ensure that all repairs and modifications meet compliance standards.
OnSite Support: Provide immediate mechanical support during pile driving operations
addressing any issues that arise promptly to maintain project timelines.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair
activities including parts used and labor time. Provide detailed reports on equipment
status and any issues encountered.
Tool and Equipment Management: Manage the tools and equipment required for onsite
repairs and maintenance ensuring they are in good working condition and readily
available.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers equipment operators and other
site personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and communicate equipment status
and needs.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field mechanic with a focus on heavy
equipment maintenance and repair. Specific experience with PD10 pile drivers is highly
preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair
complex machinery. Proficiency with hydraulic systems diesel engines and electrical
systems.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in heavy equipment maintenance or mechanical repair
are a plus.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills essential for
reporting and collaborating with team members.
ProblemSolving Ability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
in a timely and efficient manner.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy
equipment and working in various outdoor conditions.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel to different job sites within the specified locations and work
flexible hours as required by project schedules.
