Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW) have some exciting employment opportunities we are recruiting for Neighbourhood Group Workers in our Preston District. Being a Neighbourhood Group Worker as part of the Children and Family Wellbeing Service offers a truly rewarding vocation working with some of Lancashires most amazing children young people and their families. We work with Children and young people aged 019yrs up to 25yrs for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate and creative. As a Neighbourhood Group Worker you will work directly with children and young people and their families delivering our curriculum offer of quality groups and courses in our Family Hubs or in district community venues and schools. We deliver groups and courses to help support children young people and their families to grow learn and develop. We offer antenatal support and advice newborn groups and activities and preschool sessions for the 05yearolds. For 5 11yearolds we have groups and activities that support emotional health and wellbeing healthy lifestyles and school transitions and we have dedicated groups and activities for children with Special Educational Needs and Early Years speech language and communication needs.
We are looking for creative individuals who have experience of working with children young people and their families and who would welcome further training learning and development opportunities. As a Neighbourhood Group Worker you will need a good level of understanding of IT packages and be able to use our Management Information System. You will be required to record attendance at sessions work on the planning and evaluating of groups and courses and be involved in the creation of interesting and informative handouts and public display boards.
Our Neighbourhood Group Workers receive training and shadowing opportunities throughout their induction. Neighbourhood Group Workers are part of the wider Children and Family Wellbeing Service working to ensure children young people and their families get the right support in the right place at the right time. The Neighbourhood Community and Family Intensive Support teams offer support across Level 2 and 3 on the Lancashire Continuum of Need. The service is part of a partnership approach and you will liaise with colleagues schools and multiagency partners delivering multiagency support and building professional networks to deliver support within your district and the Family Hubs network.
