Job Description
Job Summary
Maintain equipment by performing necessary repair periodic maintenance and operational verification procedures. Performs skilled technical and advisory work in the repair maintenance and calibration of general and/or complex medical equipment. Performs quality assurance testing and calibration. This position is expected to have the ability to multitask several projects.
Analyzes troubleshoots and repairs medical equipment and systems utilizing established electronic tests and measurement equipment and scheduled maintenance calibrations and/or modifications on medical equipment and systems in accordance with department procedures manufacturers recommendations specifications and/or other applicable codes and medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment and systems. Interacts with clinical staff on a regular basis to insure needs are being be familiar with medical equipment technology and networking and maintains accurate records of all inspections repairs adjustments etc. performed on all install or assist in the installation of new medical equipment and/or orders necessary repair and spare parts according to established procedures and contract relationships.QualificationsAssociate Degree or its equivalent in electronics biomedical equipment technology strongly preferred or its equivalent in military service training.Minimum of two to five years of hospitalbased or medical equipment service proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel).Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking US state drivers license and good driving record.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- MINIMUM of 25 years biomedical equipment repair.
- AA or 2 year certificate in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent military experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- An aptitude for understanding the operation of electronic electromechanical and pneumatic devices.
- Able to work independently in repair periodic maintenance and operational verification of medical equipment.
Must have a valid US drivers license and good driving record.
Must be able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship and have a US Drivers License.
