Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Lead and coach a larger team to effectively partner with Trust Advisors to develop current and future fee trust business by offering fiduciary solutions to existing and prospective clients.
2. Participate in New Business Development activities as opportunities are identified. Ensure teams are properly deepening fiduciary relationships and driving new assets future fee appointments and revenue. Personally assist with new business development by making joint calls on some of the more affluent and sensitive relationships in the assigned Wealth Groups.
3. Work with team members to ensure they achieve personal and team goals. Serve as the hiring coaching and terminating manager. Establish annual objectives. Coach the team toward the achievement of those objectives. Fairly and justly rate performance using the performance review process and feedback; rewarding results through praise recognition compensation and promotions.
4. Develop and recommend appropriate staffing structure and requirements.
5. Responsible for fiduciary oversight of personal trust account book of business. Involved in the supervision of all fiduciary decisions and activities (e.g. account acceptance exercise of discretionary authority document interpretation etc. and in a variety of risk mitigation initiatives (e.g. documented support for asset concentrations implications of changes in applicable federal and state laws Uniform Trust Code implementation etc).
6. Provide technical support; participate in supervision training development and oversight of assigned team.
7. Continually review the assignment of accounts and review workload distribution among the Trust Advisors in assigned regional offices; assist in setting priorities and meeting deadlines for assigned group.
8. Responsible for maintaining and cultivating good working relationships with clients Wealth Teams IRM partners attorneys Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and other related professionals to assure quality service and to enhance crossreferral opportunities.
9. Keep informed of administrative progress complex issues problems and complaints; make recommendations for improvements and enhancements that will better assure quality service.
10. Keep up to date on legal issues regulations investment tax issues trends and developments in trust banking industry.
11. Consult with Wealth Regional Directors Wealth Division Directors and Trust Advisors in evaluation of new ideas recommendations and procedures.
12. Serve on various Truist Wealth committees as required.
13. Establish and maintain a network of industry peers in order to stay abreast of current business and regulatory initiatives.
14. Attract retain and promote top talent with a strong focus on diversity and build a robust slate of credible successors for key leadership positions and for opportunities across Truist.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Four Year College degree in Accounting Finance Business Management Trust Administration or Law
2. Eight years of fiduciary experience with a focus on business development and relationship management
3. Effective communication skills both verbal and written being able to convey thought provoking insight regarding client issues and concerns.
4. Proven analytical ability and detail orientation with ability to manage client and firm priorities
5. Strong computer skills currently Microsoft Suite of products and ability to learn proprietary bank platforms and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Demonstrates leaderships abilities and management experience in the Financial Services industry; with the ability to grow advise and recruit teammates.
2. Advance degree or designations such as JD MBA CFP
3. Ten years of fiduciary experience
