Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit a skilled and creative Copywriter with 5 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content creation across various formats including emailers newsletters blogs case studies white papers and social media posts. You will play a key role in shaping candi solars voice and ensuring all content aligns with our brand and messaging.
Specifically the job requires taking ownership of the following for the Global team:
- Collaborate with internal crossfunctional stakeholders to build content including compiling information on completed projects extracting valuable insights and factchecking with team members
- Write engaging and persuasive content for email campaigns newsletters blogs case studies white papers and social media posts. Also write scripts for video recordings featuring internal team members on specific topics
- Develop content that is aligned with candi solars brand voice and messaging
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create content that supports broader marketing campaigns
- Research and stay uptodate with industry trends to produce relevant and timely content
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity accuracy and consistency
- Optimize content for SEO and digital platforms to drive engagement and reach
- Assist in developing content strategies to enhance brand awareness and lead generation
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines ensuring timely delivery of highquality content
Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town (Hybrid role combined with working from home)
Hours: Full time (Five days a week)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in English Communications Marketing Journalism or a related field
- 5 years of professional copywriting experience preferably in the renewable energy or B2B industry
- Strong writing editing and proofreading skills
- Proven ability to write for various formats including emailers newsletters blogs case studies white papers and social media posts
- Experience with SEO and digital content optimisation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Candidates must be able to manage deadlines effectively while accommodating working hours in South Africa India and different time zones as required
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality content
- Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is a plus
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms is a plus
