Job Description
Job Title: Cardiovascular Surgery PA/NP with RNFA
Location: Dothan Alabama
Salary: 128063 per year
Shift: TBD
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with RNFA certification to join our dynamic cardiovascular surgical team. This role involves providing surgical first assistance performing vein harvesting and delivering highquality perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide firstassist support in cardiovascular surgeries.
- Perform endoscopic and open vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures.
- Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient care including assessments wound management and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with a team of three boardcertified cardiovascular surgeons and three physician assistants to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in rounding patient education and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician Assistant (PAC) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with RNFA certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular surgery with expertise in vain harvesting.
- Strong clinical decisionmaking and surgical assisting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highpaced surgical environment.
- Current licensure in Alabama and BLS/ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in roboticassisted cardiac procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Prior experience in an academic or highvolume cardiovascular surgery setting
