Job Description
What youll do at OhioMHAS:
- Functions as lead worker for Psychology Assistants Psychology Interns & students & coordinates psychological services & programs: participates in a broad range of professional & clinical activities providing services to adult & geriatric patients
- Administers & interprets psychological tests
- Provides individual & group therapy including specialized services to forensic patients when needed
- Reevaluates forensic & nonforensic patients as assigned
- Makes recommendations for treatment & planning
- Participates in team meetings: prepares psychological notes & reports; keeps records up to date
- Follows up work with adult & geriatric patients during their stay in hospital & gives them additional help to prepare them for adjustment to society before final disposition.
- Serves as psychological consultant in hospital & in community: maintains records & prepares statistical reports
This is anhourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) with a pay range of#15on theOhio Health Care SEIU/1199Pay Range Schedule.Normal working hours are 7:30 am 4:00 pm hours may vary. This position is located within our
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then performance based thereafter.
Additional Salary / Appointment Information:
Candidate is eligible for a 15 retention and recruitment supplement. 1199 BU psychologists receive a 4.5 increase at the beginning of the new fiscal year on July 1st 2025.
License to practice psychology as issued by Ohio State Board of Psychology per Section 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A) of Ohio Revised Code.
