Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Fitter & Turner to join our clients team in the food manufacturing industry. Our client is a reputable company that specializes in the production of highquality food products. As a Fitter & Turner you will be responsible for the maintenance repair and fabrication of components for food processing and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on food processing and packaging equipment
- Fabricate components for breakdowns and planned maintenance tasks
- Operate and maintain precision measuring equipment
- Setup and operate various machines such as lathes milling machines and grinders
- Perform drilling and machining tasks
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the workshop
- Adhere to safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Trade Certificate as a Fitter & Turner
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge and experience in operating machines such as lathes milling machines and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent problemsolving skills
- Attention to detail and quality
