Summary
Lead emergency medical services (EMS) educator will provide emergency medical services (EMS) education through Sanford Health to internal/external customers. Primarily responsible for the creation implementation and evaluation of simulatedlearning activities embedded within initial and ongoing professional development curriculums for health care professionals students community members and external community members and within the mobile environment.Job Description
Responsible for active participation in the support of research activities related to simulationbased/EMS education efforts by assisting with collecting and analyzing data for research purposes. Assist with coordination of programs courses simulation based/EMS initiatives future simulationbased/EMS initiatives and class schedules within the mobile environment. Participate in simulation training for educational programs serving as a mentor and educator for faculty and staff.
Make recommendations for budget and equipment purchase. Serve as a simulator operator or clinical expert running programmed scenarios with faculty instructors assuring all equipment is set up for course programs ensure all equipment is in working order participating in productspecific vendor training and represent the simulation program at user group meetings other relevant organizational meetings at the local state and national level. Serve as mentors and educators for faculty and staff while training in simulation programs and will oversee the mobile simulation program and team members assigned responsibilities.
Physical activities include but not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving of whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling materials. Ability to lift and/or move up to 100125lbs. May require standing three to four hours with breaks at a time while teaching or up to eight hours at a time.
Qualifications
Depending upon location a minimum of an associates is preferred or a minimum of three years of high volume emergency medical services (EMS) critical care field experience or high volume critical care as an EMS provider.Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
