Youll be joining the Strategy & Enterprise Analytics (SEA) team within the GDIA organization specifically within the Legal Services Analytics Product Line. This team develops innovative cloudnative data AI and analytics solutions for Ford. We provide data AI/ML and advanced analytics solutions to internal partners (The Office of General Counsel) to enable them taking informed decision.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do:
- FrontEnd Development 6070 of time):
- Develop and maintain user interfaces for our legal service analytics platform using Angular 15 TypeScript HTML and CSS.
- Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Plotly Dash to analyze legal data such spend and repair interactions.
- Write clean welldocumented and testable code following established coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to implement userfriendly and visually appealing interfaces that effectively communicate complex data insights.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- BackEnd Development 3040 of time):
- Assist in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using with Express to support our frontend applications.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases to store and retrieve data related to application sessions user profiles and infrastructure information.
- Learn about serverside logic and how it interacts with the frontend Angular application.
- Write unit tests and integration tests for backend APIs.
- General Responsibilities:
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices (CI/CD pipelines testing strategies etc..
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues across the full stack.
- Learn new technologies and techniques to stay uptodate with industry trends in frontend and backend development particularly in the context of Legal Service analytics.
- Contribute to technical documentation for our platform and APIs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts (data structures algorithms objectoriented programming).
- Minimum of 3 years experience with JavaScript and a modern JavaScript framework (Angular preferred but React or experience is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
- Experience with data visualization libraries (Plotly Dash is a big plus).
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows (e.g. Gitflow).
- A strong desire to learn and a passion for software development particularly in the area of sustainable transportation and vehicles.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This position is a range of salary grades 67.
