Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical Senior Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting insurance loans or financial products and possess strong decisionmaking abilities. This role requires an indepth understanding of risk assessment policy terms and compliance regulations. In addition to evaluating applications you will provide mentorship to junior underwriters and assist in developing underwriting strategies to optimize business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate complex insurance applications and determine approvals rejections or policy terms.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with agents brokers and clients to clarify underwriting decisions and resolve issues.
- Mentor and train junior underwriters improving their risk evaluation skills.
- Assist in the development and refinement of underwriting strategies and policies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and emerging underwriting trends.
- Collaborate with senior management to enhance underwriting efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Underwriter in insurance or financial services.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead underwriting initiatives.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and financial analysis tools is a plus.
Salary: $100K$140K
