You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Dawes Arboretum is actively recruiting a Grants & Contracts Coordinator to join our Advancement department. This newly created role will help The Arboretum secure funding and strategic partnerships that will further our mission by researching relevant grant opportunities crafting credible grant proposals managing grant lifecycles ensuring reporting and contract compliance and cultivating strong relationships with internal and external partners.
This fulltime position will report to our Director Advancement and serve as an essential crossdepartmental resource for The Arboretum.
Some of the specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Manage the lifecycle of awarded grants and MOUs (memorandum of understanding) including monitoring deadlines budgets and reporting requirements.
Research and identify potential funding sources that align with organizational goals; build portfolio of funders.
Write compelling grant proposals and submit applications.
Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure funded projects and agreements are tracked for financial reconciliation stewardship renewal and reporting purposes.
Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and funders.
Maintain detailed and organized records for all grant and MOU activities correspondence and reporting.
Assist Director with developing new strategies and processes to optimize the grant administration process.

Associate degree in business administration communications or related field.
Two 2 years of related experience in a nonprofit organization working with administrative projects fundraising or grant writing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with grant processes and best practices.
Exceptional relationship building skills. Ability to influence work proactively and effectively to build consensus among crossfunctional teams and external partners.
Strong project management skills with the ability to work under pressure balance competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Innovative selfstarter and problem solver with a propensity towards action.

The annual compensation range for this position is $45000$50000.
