Where does this role fit in
In this role youll be supporting four fantastic individuals with learning disabilities helping them lead active fulfilling lives. Each person we support has access to their own vehicle to promote independence so a full UK driving licence is essential.
The individuals youll support love getting out and aboutwhether its day trips scenic beach walks strolls around the local area or meals out. If you enjoy being active and making a real difference in peoples lives this could be the perfect role for you!
What is the role
As a Support Worker youll be involved in all aspects of daytoday support including:
- Administering medication
- Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
- Laundry and household cleaning
- Accompanying on shopping trips and running errands
- Supporting relationships with friends family and the local community
- Taking part in leisure activities such as swimming cinema trips and days out
- Advocating for their needs preferences and choices
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect
- Assisting with manual handling as required
What skills and experience do you need

- Previous care experience working with adults with complex needs
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to peoples lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player

What are the pay and benefits
- An hourly rate of 12.75 making the annual salary 24531 (FTE)
- Wakeful night rate which includes a 20 uplift
- 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
