ABOUT
Our client company based in Stuttgart (Germany) specializes in the design and construction of lightweight structures integrating architecture and engineering based of scientific research and minimalistic forms in harmony with the ornamentation of buildings.
ROLE
The Project Manager for Lightweight Structures and Facades is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning and successful delivery of complex engineering projects. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams ensuring that projects meet technical financial and scheduling objectives and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise leadership skills and a deep understanding of innovative facade systems and lightweight structures. By combining these strengths the Project Manager ensures that each project upholds the highest standards of quality and engineering excellence while meeting client expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Collaborate with clients engineers and architects to define project objectives deliverables and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans including schedules budgets resource allocation and risk assessments.
- Identify and assemble crossfunctional teams assigning roles and responsibilities to meet project requirements.
Project and Control:
- Oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and final deliverables.
- Monitor project budgets addressing cost overruns and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage changes in project scope timeline or budget ensuring minimal disruption to overall project goals
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Assist the Project Director to serve as the primary point of contact for clients ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering procurement and construction teams to align project activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
- Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure deliverables meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies monitoring them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations safety standards and organizational policies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Inspire and motivate project teams fostering a collaborative and resultsdriven work environment.
- Address and resolve any team conflicts or challenges maintaining focus on project objectives
- Monitor team performance providing feedback and support to ensure individual and collective success
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular project updates for internal and external stakeholders highlighting achievements challenges and next steps.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate project documentation including contracts technical drawings and correspondence.
- Conduct project postmortems to identify lessons learned and integrate improvements into future projects.
Innovation and Process Improvement:
- Incorporate industry best practices and emerging trends in lightweight structures and facade engineering.
- Leverage advanced tools and software to optimize project management and delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
