Job Description
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Masters Degree required; Doctorate preferred.
Current MN RN/APRN License. Nationally Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Current BLS certification

PNP Cystic Fibrosis and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Program Coordinator
Position Summary
The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) Program Coordinator is a vital position mandated by the CF and PCD foundations. This role is essential in coordinating the care of patients with CF and PCD facilitating team member visits and ensuring seamless communication between patients families and healthcare providers. At Childrens Minnesota this role is shared with the clinic coordinator at Childrens Respiratory and Clinical Care Specialists (CRCCS) a private practice partner. Together Childrens Minnesota and CRCCS form the CF and PCD programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the care of patients with CF and PCD during their annual visits as part of a multidisciplinary team including social workers genetic counselors and dietitians
- Perform physical exams and provide education to families whose infants screen positive for CF on the MDH newborn screen test
- Act as a subinvestigator on research studies for CF and PCD clinical trials including ordering study medications and attending weekly research team meetings
- Round on inpatients admitted with CF or PCD to help coordinate care and reinforce education
- Attend monthly leadership meetings with the CF program director associate program director and clinic coordinator
- Coordinate agenda and take minutes for monthly CF team meetings and attend monthly PCD team meetings
- Facilitate biannual lab meetings with sweat lab microbiology and other lab staff to discuss testing and patient care issues
- Work with CF leadership to adopt care protocols mandated by the CF foundation and contribute to the endofyear report
- Complete the annual pulmonary report to the Board Quality committee including results from both PCD and CF programs
- Attend quarterly CF Family Council meetings and support parent involvement in quality work and newsletter development

- This is a 0.6 FTE position (benefit eligible)
- Monday through Wednesday
