Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring payroll related practices across all UTMC departments remain compliant. This position will perform payroll audits across UTMC departments to ensure accuracy standardization and compliance with hospital policies. This position will be the subject matter expert and be responsible for training UTMC leaders on the use of the payroll system including use of specialty pay practices (IA external agency FMLA etc. and be a resource for leaders and the Payroll Department. This position utilizes multiple software systems and is responsible for producing payroll audit reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or 2 years experience in payroll finance business management or audit is required. Symplr Payroll Certification (within first 4 months) or knowledge of payroll software is required. Ability to use Excel; create spreadsheets and use of formulas. Excellent attention to detail research skills and analytical focused. Mathematical and calculation skills.
