Heres how a(n)Accountantfor our Edmonton Industrial Managementoffice contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Assemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and follow up to ensure timely payment.
- Reconcile and process all projectrelated accounts payable and other costing allocations.
- Participate in monthly project forecast review meetings to provide input on project financial status.
- Assist with internal/external audits and yearend duties as assigned.
- Review and analyze monthly project reports to ensure accuracy of cash flow profit recognition and ledger balances.
- Subcontract Management: understand subcontract terms and conditions audit subcontractor invoices and ensure subcontractors are paid within contract terms etc.
- Communicate effectively and maintain strong client focus with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of accounting experience preferably in construction industry.
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of accounting principles including maintenance of ledgers and cash flow management.
- Understanding of project forecasting and budgeting.
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and experience with accounting software. Specific experience with Oracle/E1 an asset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required to interact with project personnel suppliers subcontractors and owners.
- Ability to multitask prioritize and work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills detail orientated and able to meet deadlines and requirements.
