Job Description
We are looking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage civil construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring project safety quality schedule and budget adherence while leading field teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily civil construction operations including site preparation grading utilities foundations and roadwork.
- Ensure compliance with project plans specifications safety regulations and quality standards.
- Supervise and direct field personnel subcontractors and suppliers to maintain productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor project schedules budgets and resources to ensure timely and costeffective completion.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and clients to address any issues and maintain project objectives.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures conducting site inspections and ensuring OSHA compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports progress updates and change orders.
- Lead and motivate field crews while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Coordinate material deliveries equipment usage and site logistics to prevent delays.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact project performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Superintendent or similar role in heavy civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles site development earthwork and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints specifications and project documentation.
- Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changing project conditions.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and commitment to enforcing a safetyfirst culture.
- Proficiency in construction management software scheduling tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on largescale civil infrastructure projects.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field (preferred but not required).
- Certifications such as OSHA 30 First Aid/CPR or PMP are a plus.
