Description
- Use CAD/CAM software to create and optimize machining processes.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to reduce cost improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design fabrication assembly tooling and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provide manufacturing decisionmaking information by calculating production labor and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; requesting special services formation and trends.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Interface with vendors and internal contacts in an effective manner to ensure that the technical and EHS perspective is properly conveyed.
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge for assembly of heavy industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
- Understanding of GD&T tolerancing and function.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong collaborator who is a positive team player.
- Autonomous results driven and accountable for own actions and takes ownership of decisions.
- Able to influence without authority by motivating creating understanding and accountability to drive change at the quality level.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate several moderate projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem solver and communicator with the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
