A fantastic opportunity is available for a qualified CA(SA) as a Financial Accountant: Consolidation sought to drive IFRScompliant consolidated reporting for a prominent South African investment holding company. This role requires you to be deadline driven with the ability to work under pressure have an analytical mindset and be a tech savvy power user. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of annual & interim consolidated financial statements
- Liaise with investee companies
- Assess corporate transactions and contracts
- Manage equity accounting of associates and joint ventures
- Prepare various consolidated disclosure notes
- Liaise with external auditors to obtain signoff on work performed
- Review financial statements of the Groups investee companies
- Review the entity financial statements of the Groups subsidiary companies
- Assist with the preparation of iXBRL submissions to the CIPC
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting information systems
- Prepare reports and presentations for board meetings.
- Manage and approve payments daily.
- Manage quarterly completion of South African Reserve Bank forms
- Assist the Financial Manager with financial administrative tasks
- Assist with various ad hoc projects
Requirements:
- CA(SA) qualified
- Between 2 and 5 years post article experience
- Exposure to complex consolidations activities either during or post articles essential
- Must be up to date with current IFRS and Companies Act developments
