Job Description

TO:All Nurses Brockton Public SchoolsFROM:Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT:COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER 2025 NURSESNurses are needed to work in the schools holding the Community Schools 2025 Summer Programs. Positions are contingent upon funding and adequate student enrollment. The schools are as follows: (job sharing available) Angelo Arnone BakerBHSSouth Nurses are expected to attend the Summer Program Mandatory Staff Meeting scheduled for Thursday June 26th 5 hours will be provided for preparation and documentation prior to program start. QUALIFICATIONS: be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse as a school nurse or pediatric have a current CPR First Aid and AED Certification organizational communication and computer skills with the electronic health record School Nurse Assistance Program (SNAP) commit to work the entire length of the program and/or job share and attend trainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Be available by phone to consult with site supervisors on medical situations during scheduled shifts 2. Review medical information of enrolled students3. Communicate with parents and site supervisors regarding medical conditions 4. Review medical information for vacation program and summer program enrollment 7. Adhere to required regulations for funded programs 8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Schools program coordinator and program supervisors All nursing positions begin 15 minutes before the start of the program and end 15 minutes after the program Deadline: January 28 2025
