McNeese State Universityinvites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Professor of Education Professions. This is a fulltime 9month unclassified tenure track faculty position. This position requires inperson teaching on campus. The appointment begins in August 2025.

SALARY RANGE:$55000 $60000 (dependent upon degree held at time of hire; opportunities for summer teaching may be available

Position Duties/Responsibilities

The Assistant Professor is responsible for functions related to teaching 15 hours of coursework advising and supporting various college initiatives. Faculty responsibilities include leading one departmental or college initiative and assisting with others as requested. College and Departmental Initiatives currently include Boots on the Ground Community Engagement Mentors Ed Rising Invest Adventure Club Grant Writing Unlock Education Regional Conference and Impact on Education Regional Conference. Additionally the assistant professor will perform the responsibilities of a site coordinator which includes the following roles: 1 the liaison between the university and school district 2 participate in mentor teacher trainings and stakeholder meetings and 3 coaching of teacher candidates and residents.

Transcripts from Foreign Universities: Prospective faculty submitting transcripts from foreign universities or schools must have the coursework evaluated for equivalency to United Statesaccredited coursework by a Universityapproved agency. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services or Educational Credential Evaluators Inc..
