Position Details:
- Title: Elementary Special Education Teacher Aide
- Location: Larchmont NY
- Duration: September 2025 to May 2026
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Contract
- Working Hours: 30-35 hours weekly from Monday to Friday
- Student Age Group: Elementary school
Responsibilities:
- Support students with special needs as per their IEP
- Collaborate with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student s success
- Monitor the health and well-being of students
- Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration
- Willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training
- Data collection and implementation of behavior plans
- Assist classroom teacher as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A professional patient and calm demeanor with children of all ages
- Experience with children who have attentional behavioral/emotional and academic challenges
- Special Education Teacher Aide experience preferred
- High School Diploma
