Job Description

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the accurate recording and analysis of financial transactions ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations and providing critical financial insights to support informed decisionmaking. This role involves preparing financial statements managing general ledgers ensuring timely monthly close of CcHUB subsidiaries. In addition the post holder will be required to collaborate with various departments/practices and project managersto ensure good management of the companys financial resources.


Key Responsibilities

1. Bank Reconciliation & Expense Management:

  • Prepare accurate monthly bank statements reconciliation and financial records.
  • Aggregate requisitions from the companys expense management system (EMS) and upload on the payment platform.
  •  Monitor and control expenses to maintain fiscal discipline.

2. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly close of financial reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

3. General Ledger Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Perform monthend and yearend close processes.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts where necessary.
  • Analyze variances between actuals and budget providing explanations and insights.

5. Audit and Compliance:

  • Provide support to the Group Financial Accountant and external auditors for audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls policies and procedures.
  • Implement improvements to financial processes and controls.

6. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

7. Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

8. Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

9. Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and supporting documentations for budget tracking where necessary.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to various teams within the organization.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications :

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 35 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in a similar role within the industry is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks or related software).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP pivot tables).

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights.

Attention to Detail:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information to nonfinance audience clearly.

Organizational Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
