Overview:
Sales Managers will lead a team of Inside Sales Reps. Focusing on developing and coaching their team to generate sales leads. The Sales Manager will drive the RFP process and focus on finalizing the process of bringing new customers onto Circles client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek and bring on new accounts.
  • Develop your current book of business and grow it over time.
  • Grow and maintain a sales team of at least 10 people at any given time.
  • Train new inside sales reps up to the level of performance you expect.
  • Drive the development of your team members to transition into Account Management roles.
  • Act as the face of the account and the main contact via email and phone.
  • Communicating the good or bad news via phone and email.
  • Calling and emailing potential customers to develop a relationship.
  • Attend Quarterly business reviews for high level objectives with senior level management for the clients.
  • Monthly or weekly Continuous improvement calls and strategy with both management and the client.
  • Conduct RFP reviews and lane list .
  • Utilize spot quoting tools and show an ability to execute.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience/Education:
  • High School diploma GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in logistics or business related field preferred.
  • 13 years of experience in a logistics environment required.
  • Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.
  • Above average proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office (vlookup pivot tables reports).

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  • Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
  • Excellent problemsolving and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a seated position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to reach bend stoop push and/or pull and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Generally in an indoor office setting; may include occasional participation in outdoor company events.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings holidays weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
  • While performing duties of this job the employee is primarily in a controlled temperate environment; however may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
