Job Description
- Patient care: Assisting healthcare providers in patient care activities such as taking vital signs preparing patients for examinations and documenting medical histories.
- Medical procedures: Assisting with medical procedures such as administering medications collecting and preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic point of care tests.
- Patient education: Providing patients with information and instructions regarding their medical conditions medications and treatment plans.
- Communication and coordination: Facilitating effective communication between patients healthcare providers and other medical staff.
- Compliance and safety: Adhering to healthcare regulations privacy laws and safety protocols to protect patient confidentiality
- Electronic health records (EHR): Proficiently using electronic health record systems to document patient information update medical records and retrieve necessary data
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of a certified medical assistant program
- Basic Life Support at the Healthcare provider level training
- Experience in primary care or clinical setting
- Skilled with electronic medical records and email messaging systems.
- 1 year of experience in a primary care or clinical setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
