Job Summary:
Supports fieldwork activities by ensuring that the testing equipment is maintained calibrated and in good working order for AST offices. Troubleshoots and repairs Allianceowned equipment including meter boxes pumps sample umbilicals heat controllers probes etc.; troubleshoots and repairs equipment to be used in the field for technicians to perform environmental testing. Maintains the organization of the shop and manages consumable equipment and calibration gas stocks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists in staging/loading/unloading of sampling equipment for field projects with Project
Manager (PM) and Operations Manager (OM) oversight
Sampling glassware cleaning preparation and maintenance
Performs basic electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of sampling equipment; including filling out the forms to send them back to the manufacturer and answering inquiries regarding the repair status of the equipment
Performs calibration of various sampling equipment (meter boxes temperature sensors etc.
Manages the inventory of calibration gas cylinders with OM oversight
Ensures warehouse office and repair areas are kept clean and orderly
Performs basic repair cleaning and organization of various test equipment
Prepares paperwork and computer tracking of all equipment being repaired/replaced/on loan to other offices
Creates shipping labels and coordinates where equipment is going to/coming from and provides needed updates to all pertinent parties in a timely manner
Facility maintenance (lights HVAC filters shop tools routine plumbing grounds etc.
Facilitate basic vehicle and mobile lab maintenance in partnership with the Fleet department
Ensures that vehicles and mobile labs are kept clean and fully stocked using approved checklists
Manages all field consumable inventories (PPE reagents filters sample jars shipping containers tool stocks etc.
Manages office consumable inventories (snacks drinks office supplies etc.
Conduct onsite fieldtesting assistance in a limited capacity
Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Mechanical and Electrical skills and knowledge
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
Basic troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite including MS Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to communicate with associates vendors contractors and leaders
Ability to read count and write to accurately complete all documentation
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Background in industrial and/or electronics maintenance
6 months1 year of stack testing field experience desired
Physical Requirements:
Sitting for extended periods and the dexterous use of hands and fingers is common in performing equipment repairs.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations to receive ordinary information and to prepare documents or examine equipment.
The ability to distinguish between shades of color is required.
Must be able to use tools and equipment with a high degree of dexterity.
Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may occasionally be required.
Employee will constantly be required to handle and grasp frequently lift and occasionally crawl reach kneel balance push pull carry and climb.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in a repair facility setting; proper use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
Occasional field work may require working outdoors in industrial environments.
Hourly Pay Range: $20$22 (The pay rate for this position is Depending On Experience and will vary from a minimum to a maximum hourly range.
