POSITION SUMMARY:

This position leads Gates Marketing & Communication function for India Market. The General Manager Marketing is responsible for planning developing implementing and overseeing the companys marketing strategies and activities. This includes managing the marketing team driving brand growth increasing market share and ensuring consistent communication across all channels to effectively position the company in the market. The positions primary objective is to maximize sales distribution visibility through dealer and distributors relations events and promotions ATL BTL activities with online and offline communication to Distributors / Secondary channels OEMs and end customers along with rigorous market reach activities for increasing brand awareness across all our markets and verticals. Develops channelwise approach based on its potential and deciding the right investments and activities for the channel and monitors trade budgets its utilization is responsible to manage Gates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

  • Strategy Development:Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the companys business goals. Identify market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them. Conduct market research to understand market trends customer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the development and of brand strategies to enhance the companys market presence. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Digital Marketing: Develop and implement digital marketing strategies including SEO/SEM email marketing social media and online advertising. Analyze digital marketing metrics and adjust strategies as needed to improve performance.
  • Campaign Management: Plan execute and measure marketing campaigns across various channels (online and offline). Ensure campaigns are delivered on time within budget and achieve desired results.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget. Monitor expenses and ensure costeffective utilization of resources.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends consumer behavior and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies. Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing performance and market insights.
  • Develop and Build marketing programs in ATL and BTL space to support specific business objectives across Automotive and Industrial channels.
  • Partner with creative teams other internal stakeholders external agencies and vendors and optimize the spend to budget for the greatest value.
  • Create content and prepare Industryspecific presentations product literature and other marketing collaterals.
  • Lead the of marketing programs from start to finish in close collaboration with the business leaders and sales team.
  • Develop and execute digital and print media plan to promote the Gates Brand including content and preparation of Press releases newsletters Product and market announcements.
  • General administration duties: Vendor management for marketing collaterals branding and promotional items sourcing ordering of products and services and ensuring service levels for all marketing items
  • In addition to the above this role will require working with global teams in driving various new initiatives and projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will report to Sr. MD Commercial and support the leader to achieve the business objectives of the company.


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/Journalism or similar
  • 17 to 22 years of experience in automotive components Industrial or Consumer industries in a high growth B2B environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Multitasker with experience in Digital Media for B2B and B2C campaigns.
  2. Experience building differentiated marketing programs for automotive and industrial channels and tracking the outcome.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong analytical skills including metricsdriven thinking

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Fair amount (approx. 20 30 of domestic travel is required.
