Job Description
Junior Writer/Researcher (New York)
EurasiaGroup seeks a motivated and experienced writer to support the expansion of itsnewsletter Signal. This role will involve working with the editor and deputyeditor of Signal to track key stories from around the world provide researchanalysis and support and develop visual content (infographics datavisualizations etc.. The ideal candidate should have a strong grounding ininternational relations and experience as a professional journalist 12 years).Previous experience with the production of data visualizations graphics andother multimedia content is a plus. This position presents the opportunity tocontribute to an exciting fastgrowing media venture centered around theanalysis and explanation of international politics.
Responsibilities:
Trackingstories from around the world
Providingresearch support to the editor deputy editor and contributing writers
Coordinatingwith graphics team to generate visual content
Supportingdeputy editor in promotion and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
12 years of professional journalisticexperience covering international news
Strong academic grounding in internationalpolitics or economics required
Comfort with graphic design and production ofvisual content preferred
Experience in marketing a plus
